This form will generate the correct code within an "Online Document" to display a SWF File.

Use:
1. Upload the SWF to a folder in your workspace.  Folder. After it's uploaded, copy the path of the SWF file by right clicking on the file name.

2. Trim the path to the SWF you uploaded like this - you want everything from /home/ on out to the right:

Example:

Original path: http://yourcompanyname.centraldesktop.com/home/viewfile?guid=3669BD52C9C607116456464B8AD532F49&id=101234543795
Trimmed Path: /home/viewfile?guid=3669BD52C9C6764323423423423169654638AD532F49&id=1012795

GENERATE YOUR CODE:

Put the trimmed path of your SWF file here:

How wide is the SWF? (Pixels):

How high is it? (Pixels):

Now click

Here's your Cut 'N Paste Code for SWF Display - use the "html code" tab at the bottom of the document editor to put this code in your presentation. Note that you can put SWF code in anywhere on an online doc page, but you must use the HTMl edit mode to do so.

Any recommendations for implementing an swf player which points to a remote flv?

https://threshold.centraldesktop.com/tt/Nyfxcbtt30y5nl3mrrh5g70n22qnztq6q7io

File is going to need the skin.swf plus probably the flashfix .js file.

SWF has been uploaded and references as per the instructions above.  FLV lives on our servers.

The error is:

Error #2044: Unhandled skinError:. text=[IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2124: Loaded file is an unknown type. URL: SkinUnderPlayStopSeekMuteVol.swf"]

On a whim uploaded the skin file in the same folder - no joy.

Plus, there's a z-index issue with .swfs in the page - the drop down menus above render beneath the swf, making parts of them unreachable.  Same when using iFrame.

Anxious for recommendations.  Being able to easily embed media players, whether Flash, QT, or WMV would be a very powerful feature for CD to offer - and would certainly serve our need for a secure, accessible from anywhere gallery of demo clips for review and discussion with partners and clients.
