Web Meeting Troubleshooting Guide
Having problems downloading the Web Meeting Client? Try the following:
- Try launching the web meeting from another browser (IE vs Firefox etc...)
- Perhaps you have a problem with your Java Runtime.
-
- Go here: http://browsercheck.centraldesktop.com/s/javacheck.aspx
- This should come back with valid results. If you see a -2 value or something similar that means there is a problem with your Java.
- If in Windows, go to Control Panel -> Add Remove Programs -> Look for JRE or Java. Uninstall all instances of Java (sometimes there are 3-4 different versions)
- Once uninstalled to go Java.com and install the latest Java Runtime.
- Once Java has been reinstalled close all your browsers.
- Open a new browser and try the javacheck link above again OR try joining a meeting.
- If you still have problems launching the web meeting you can manually download the web meeting client.
-
- On a PC go here: http://live.centraldesktop.com/turbo_meeting.exe
-
- Click RUN. You should now see a TurboMeeting icon on your desktop. Double click it.
- Then enter "live.centraldesktop.com" as your Server Address and type your Central Desktop username/password.
- If this works this means you still have a problem with Java, but you are able to host/join meeting via this client directly.
- On a Mac go here: http://live.centraldesktop.com/TurboMeeting.zip
-
- Click OPEN then RUN (unzip and run). You should now see a TurboMeeting icon on your desktop. Double click it.
- Then enter "live.centraldesktop.com" as your Server Address and type your Central Desktop username/password.
- Windows Vista - disable Aero Glass
